Blood Cancer ( Leukemia ) is a malignant neoplasm of white blood cells ( leukocytes ) are characterized by the proliferation of abnormal white blood cells in the bloodstream .
These cells progressively infiltrate into body tissues, especially the bone marrow.
As a result , the bone marrow is damaged and loses its function to make red blood cells and white blood cells and platelets normal ( platelets ) . As a result of a shortage of red blood cells , there will be anemic .
If a shortage of white blood cells can lead to a decrease in the immune system , while the lack of production of platelets may result in severe bleeding .
Classification and Symptoms of Leukemia .
Basically there are four types of leukemia that is (1) Acute lymphocytic leukemia, ( 2 ) chronic lymphocytic leukemia , ( 3 ) acute myelogenous leukemia , and ( 4 ) chronic myelogenous leukemia . Leukemia in chronic phase can be continued in the acute stage .

Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia .

More common in children . The cause is not known with certainty , but there are several factors that are likely to be a factor driving the genetic and immunologic factors and insecurity on radiation and some chemicals .
The symptoms in acute lymphocytic leukemia is bleeding such as nosebleeds , bleeding gums , and easy bruising . The presence of red and dark brown spots , anemia , and weight loss , body feels weak with a rapid heart rate , pain in the bones or stomach and face look pale .

Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia .

It usually occurs in adults between the ages of 45-60 years . Characterized by uncontrolled spread of small and abnormal lymphocytes in lymphoid tissue, blood, and bone marrow .
This type of leukemia is a type of the lightest and progress slowly and are benign . Genetic factors play an important role in this type .
The symptoms in chronic lymphocytic leukemia is anemia , always feeling tired , fever , enlarged lymph nodes , are very susceptible to infections , weight loss , bone ache , swelling of the liver and spleen , shortness of breath , palpitations , and bleeding .

Acute chronic myelogenous leukemia .

This type of leukemia , caused myelocyte cells normally develop into granulocytes ( white blood cells that contain granules ) and become malignant and will soon be infiltrated into the tissues of the body , especially the bone marrow plays an important role in the formation of normal blood cells . As a result , the bone marrow becomes damaged and loses its function in the formation of normal blood cells .

Chronic chronic myelogenous leukemia .

This type of leukemia called chronic granulocytic leukemia also. In this condition, granulocytes ( white blood cells that contain granules ) have cleavage abnormally in the bone marrow and in tissues . In the chronic phase , an increase in the number of granulocytes , anemia , weight loss , fever , and an enlarged spleen .
In the acute phase , the patient usually will not last long and can die in a matter of weeks or even days while in the chronic stage , patients have a longer life expectancy , which could reach 1 year or more .
