Glass Beach or Beach Glass , is part of MacKerricher National Park , California , USA .
Believe it or not , the beach called Glass Beach because it is a stretch of sand beach filled with glass . Colorful bins in accordance with the original color of the bottle or glass which formerly dumped trash along the beach .
The origin of the strange phenomenon that is the year 1949 , when the coast near Fort Bragg in Northern California was used as a landfill from a wide variety of city garbage .
Various types of waste dumped there , including types of glass bottles and other trash .
New in 1960 , activity in the coastal town dump was stopped . Other garbage is cleaned and discharged into another place in order to be clean beach .
But of course not all of the garbage can be cleaned . Glass and bottles that can not be taken left alone on the beach .
And because of the natural process , eroded sea waves and strong winds , as well as friction with the sea and sand bodies , causing a form of glass left on the beach it becomes smooth and resembles stone .
Today , the beach is known as Glass Beach coastline as it is filled with colorful glass .
It's beautiful , because the reflected light is clear , however, does not lead to foot injuries that beach visitors . Unfortunately , Dailymail released that now many visitors who take a piece of glass on the beach for a memento . It makes the preservation of endangered Glass Beach .
