Colossus of Rhodes was a statue of Helios , which is located on the island of Rodos , Greece , made by Chares of Lindos between 292 and 280 BC . This statue is considered as the 7 wonders of the ancient world . Before its demise , this statue stands over 30 meters , making it the tallest statue in the ancient world . Colossus of Rhodes has a height that is almost equal to the Statue of Liberty .
Hanging Gardens of Babylon.
Hanging Gardens of Babylon is one of the seven wonders of the ancient world . This park was built by Nebuchadnezzar II around 600 BC as a gift for his wife , Amyitis . The location of this park is now located in the country of Iraq .
Mausoleum Maussollos.
Mausoleum of Halicarnassus Mausoleum Maussollos or , is a tomb built between 353 and 350 BC at Halicarnassus ( Bodrum , Turkey) for Mausolus , satrap of the Persian Empire , and Artemisia II of Caria , his wife . This structure was designed by the Greek architect , Satyrus and Pythius . The Mausoleum has a height of about 45 meters .
Lighthouse of Alexandria.
Pharos Lighthouse of Alexandria or Alexandria ( from Greek o Φάρος της Αλεξάνδρειας ) is a lighthouse built in the 3rd century BC on the island of Pharos adjacent to the ancient city of Alexandria , Ancient Egypt . The height is estimated to exceed 115 meters and is the highest structure of human creation for hundreds of years .
Great Pyramid of Giza.
Great Pyramid of Giza is the oldest and largest pyramid of the three pyramids of Giza necropolis that was and is the only building that was still part of the Seven Wonders of the World . It is believed that the pyramid was built as a tomb for fourth dynasty Egyptian pharaoh , Khufu ( Χεωψ , Cheops ) and constructed for more than 20 years and is estimated to take place in about the year 2560 BC. This pyramid is sometimes referred to as the Pyramid of Khufu.

Statue of Zeus at Olympia was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World . The statue was created by renowned skulptor , Phidias ( 5th century BC ) circa 432 BC in Olympia , Greece . The statue is sitting , which has a height of about 12 feet , filling the entire Temple of Zeus was built as the home of the statue . The cause of the destruction of this statue is still debated .
Temple of Artemis.
Temple of Artemis is the Greek temple that was established to Artemis , around 550 BC at Ephesus under the Achaemenid dynasty of the Persian Empire .
