Jointed stem orchids. Orchids that live in the soil (soil orchid) short stem and tuber similar skew. For a moment, the trunk epiphytic orchids grow well, often thickened and protected arrangement of candles to avoid too excessive evaporation. The development can be elongated rod (monopodial) or widening (simpodial), depending genus.

Orchids generally elongated oval leaves with elongated leaves bones also, typical leaf monocots. The leaves can also be thickened and serve as water storage.

Orchid flower shape and make its distinctive characteristics that differentiate it from the other tribe. Orchid flowers arranged compound, visible from the flower stalk lengthwise, visible from the armpit leaves. The flowers bilateral symmetry. Strand petals (sepals) are generally colored similar to the petals (up referred tepals). Stamens have a very short stalk with two anthers in the form of small discs (referred pollinia) and protected by a tiny structures that need to be opened by insect pollinators (or man for vanilla) and carry pollen to the pistil mouth. Without the help of pollinators organisms, no longer takes place pollination.

Orchid fruit in the form of capsules of green and when ripe so dry and open from the side. Seeds are very small and convenient, easy to wind up. Orchid seeds do not have a backup food storage networks; moreover embryos not reach maturity prime. The new germination takes place when the seeds fell on a suitable medium, and continuing changes until maturity.

Typically, Nepenthes have three types of bag form, namely the upper pouch, lower pouch, and the pouch rosette. Bag on that bag of mature plants, generally in the form of a funnel or cylinder, has no wings, do not have attractive colors, the side facing the rear tendrils twining twigs and other plant can, pouch above often catch animals that fly like mosquitoes or flies, pouch type moreover there is rarely found in some species, N. ampullaria imagery. Under pouch bag is produced in the young plants are generally lying on the ground, has two wings that serve as tools for soil insects like ants climbing For the mouth of the bag and then plunged in liquid air-enzymes in it, while the rosette bag, has a form which Under the same like bags, but bags rosette grows on the leaves form a rosette, the parable of the species that have this type of bag that ampullaria N. and N. gracilis. Most of the plants are sometimes issued in the form of bags being like a mixture of bottom bags and pockets above.

This plant has a very broad dissemination of the beach up to the plateau, in because this is the Nepenthes are divided into two types namely type highland and lowland type, although generally the species grown in the highlands. The strongest eruption in History.

Eruption is one of the natural disasters that we often encounter, especially our country is a country that is still a lot of volcanoes are active. So often we see the volcanic eruptions that occurred in various parts of Indonesia.

The eruption itself can cause very severe damage, arising victims and still a lot of the impact of the eruption. Of the many eruptions that occurred, volcanic eruptions in Indonesia recorded can be the most powerful eruption of flames throughout history.

Volcano eruption in the history of the most devastating of which are :

Mount Tambora.

Mount Tambora.
"Year Without a Summer". That's what happens when on a Monday, April 10th, 1815, Mount Tambora in Bima, West Nusa Tenggara, launched pyroclastic material. 2-15 cm in diameter pyroclastic rocks thrown as far as 40 kilometers.

The eruption lasted eight days, 5 April-12 April, with a peak on April 10, spewing 150 billion cubic meters of pyroclastic material.

The remaining thereafter is 92 000 people were killed and about 80,000 people live, the Kingdom of Concentrated and the Kingdom of Tambora in Sumbawa island disappeared are buried, as well as the earth's temperature dropped by more than two degrees celsius (around 5 degrees Fahrenheit). It snowed in June in Quebec City, Canada, crops in various parts of the world crop failure. Historian John Post called it, "the last big crisis in the Western world".

From the book Bernice de Jong Boers, Mount Tambora in 1815: A Volcanic Eruption in Indonesia and Its Aftermath, cracking noise heard up in Bangka Island (about 1,500 km away), Bengkulu (1,775 km), and the sky above Madura (500 km) dark for three days. Cut off the peak of Mount Tambora 1,400 meters high that lived 2,800 meters.

Kingdom of the Milky write poetry the kapoliptik disaster:

"The sound echoes his very jarring / Taken water bucket habu / Shouting to call the child and the mother / she thought the world became gray".

That is the most powerful eruption in modern human history. Its strength reaches about Volcanic explosivity index (VEI) VEI 7 of a maximum of 8. The index is analogous to the magnitude of the earthquake is expressed by the Richter scale.

Mount Super Toba.

Mount Super Toba.
8 VEI scale explosion occurred at Toba super mountain at 73,000 years ago which led to the formation of Lake Toba with a diameter of 3,000 km.

Mount Krakatau.

Mount Krakatau.
The next most powerful volcanic eruption is held by a mountain located in the archipelago, namely Mount Krakatau.

On August 27, 1883, Monday, Krakatoa erupted with force VEI 6, which triggered a tsunami as high as about 50 meters. A ship within 80 kilometers was hit by a gust of wind knocked the eruption.

Krakatau dust floating all over the world for two weeks. The world was dark. Years effect is still felt, causing the sun to be different that inspires poets West. One is the work of the Norwegian poet, "The Scream", which inspired the effects of Krakatoa.

Krakatau volcanic ash spreading pattern has helped the understanding of global wind currents. The top of Mount Krakatoa disappeared and "born" Mount Anak Krakatau.
Note: There is still confusion between the sequence number 1 (Mount Tambora, VEI 7-8), No. 2 (Mountain Super Toba, VEI 7) and number 3 (Krakatoa, VEI 6). When viewed according to its VEI then order the above to be true, but when looking at the impact to be different. Mount Tambora be a 3rd order while the order of the 1st and 2nd held by Mountain Super Toba and Krakatau.

Mount Novarupta.

Mount Novarupta.
The 20th century arrived. History of a huge volcanic eruption is the third largest recorded eruption of Novarupta which erupted on Thursday, June 6, 1912, with the strength of VEI 6. pyroclastic material "sucked" from Mount Katmai which is about 10 km from Novarupta. Katmai then stayed into the caldera approximately 3 kilometers in diameter, with a depth of about 265 meters.

Mount Pinatubo.

Mount Pinatubo.
The Philippines is host to the mountain with the fourth most powerful eruption. Saturday, June 15, 1991, the mountain is located near the US Navy base at Subic Bay, Luzon Island, Philippines, erupted and resulted in 850 deaths and 66,000 people had to be evacuated.

Global temperature went down 3 degrees celsius and over the next three years will be lower 1 degree Celsius, up two degrees Celsius compared pascaletusan. Dust spewed pyroclastic reach 5 billion cubic meters. Pascaletusan, US Navy base at Subic Bay was closed.

Pinatubo eruption is the first after about 500 years the mountain was detected dormant (sleeping).

The eruption was exacerbated by the hurricanes that hit the Philippines Yunya at the same time.

Mount Pelee.

Mount Pelee.
The rest we can talk about the eruption of Mount Pelee which killed 30,000 people (the most in the 20th century). Type eruptions became the basis for determining the type of volcanic eruptions.

Mount Vesuvius.

Mount Vesuvius.
Do not also forget, centuries earlier, the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in Italy has buried the city of Pompeii civilization.

With a long history of apocalyptic disaster of this kind, we are convinced that this process will continue as part of the process of the earth seeking a new equilibrium. And, our civilization is lost, too, is part of the process.
