1 of 5 Women's British Own Natural Sexual Abuse in Schools.

At least one in five British women had experienced sexual pecehan, even rape at school. In fact, almost half admitted the sexual abuse often happens in school.

This is revealed in a recent survey conducted a children's charity in the UK, Plan UK as reported by Reuters on Monday (02/22/2016).

Plan UK, said, 22 percent of the more than two thousand women in England they surveyed. claimed to have suffered sexual abuse as touched, touched or even rape during school. About 60 percent of women who reported experiencing sexual abuse as children, never reported the incident.

"Schools should be a place that is completely safe. When sexual harassment occurs at the school, it dramatically lowers the ability of girls to engage in all of these opportunities," said Lucy Russell, Plan UK's campaign manager told Thomson Reuters Foundation.

"It could have a significant impact on one's confidence. Obviously it can cause serious psychological danger, depending on the action. And that probably means they will drop out of school. That could pose a long-term impact on their education," added Russell.

In the survey found, one in three British women aged between 18 and 24 years said they had experienced unwanted sexual contact during school. While one in 10 women aged 65 years and above, are also experiencing the same thing.

According to Russell, the survey results indicate that sexual abuse is not a new phenomenon. In fact, is very rooted in the community and many well tolerated by women, whatever their age.

"It has been going on for generations. But in this gererasi, it needs to be stopped," Russell said.
