Long House is one of the traditional house of West Kalimantan. Longhouse is the hallmark of a Dayak people who live in areas of West Kalimantan. This is because the length of the house is a picture of the social life of the Dayaks in West Kalimantan. Longhouse is also the center of the life of the Dayak community. Currently, the long house in West Kalimantan can be said to be almost extinct due to small numbers. The family room is a simple space that has a length of 6 meters and a width of 6 meters. The back of the house long used as a kitchen for the family. Generally, each family has a kitchen each.

In general, long houses used for shelter several families. However, long house is not only used as a residence only. Longhouse built high because it serves to avoid attacks by wild animals.
