Ancient Spider Caught.

Scientists discover ' amber ' ( sap or fossilized minerals for millions of years ) in which there is a spider eating a bee . 100 million year old fossils are the only fossil spider ever found was attacking prey trapped in its web .

Unfortunately, the spider living in when dinosaurs ruled the earth trapped in tree sap and never spend a meal.
Eye bees become the prey being looked to take the fight , move to kill .
Part of the image that perpetuate these events are found in the valley Hukawng , Myanmar at the beginning of the Cretaceous period between 97-110 million years ago . Almost certainly , when the dinosaurs roamed the earth .
In addition to evidence first and only fossil spider attacking prey in its web , it also perpetuates piece latex male spider 's body in the same net .
It is the oldest evidence of spider social behavior , which is still found in some species , but quite rare. Most spiders live alone , often become cannibals . Male spiders will not hesitate to attack immature species in the same net .
" These young spiders will eat small parasitic bees , but will never be , " said George Poinar , Jr. . , Honorary professor of zoology at Oregon State University and renowned expert in the field of the trapped insect amber .
The findings were published in the journal " Historical Biology " .
" It is a male bee trapped in a spider web , " said George .
" This is a nightmare for the bees , and it will never end . Bees were staring at the spider , when the sap running down a tree and trapping the two animals . "
Spiders are ancient invertebrates is believed to have lived 200 million years ago , but the oldest fossil evidence of a spider web I've found only about 130 million years .
Like real attack between a spider and its prey caught in its web as in the picture above has never been documented as a fossil , as stated the researchers .
Tree sap that forms amber is renowned for its ability to flow through insects , small plants and other life forms , keep them in a state of almost perfect before it finally turns into a semi- precious stone .
Amber often explain biological phenomena are quite distant past . The spider , which may have been waiting patiently for hours to catch its prey , splashed sap just a split second before the attack .
Such types of bees , said George , belongs to a group that is currently known as a parasite for the spider and insect eggs . In that context , the spider attack , using the web, can be regarded as a defense response .
The spider and the bee belonged to an extinct animal . There are at least 15 strands of spider web fibers that are in the amber pieces .
