Serra da Capivara National Park in northeast Brazil is home to many rock shelters decorated with cave paintings. The prehistoric paintings including scenes of ritual, hunting, painting trees and animals capivaras (capybara is the largest rodent species that still exist). Some scientists believe that the cave paintings here were created 25,000 years ago.
