Did You Know About Wood.

In the wood of this technology will first discuss problems the wooden structure, it is important to know is to determine which parts of a good wood for the manufacture of paper and wood parts which are not good in workmanship as well as the work of carving craft works.

Wood structure.

Wood is mostly made up of cells that vessel length axis parallel to the long axis of the rod. These cells are composed of cellulose and held together by a cementing material called lignin. Direction of the long axis is referred to as the direction of the wood grain and it is important to be known, because of the nature of the wood is very different parallel fibers perpendicular to the fibers.

Transverse cross section of a tree that is cut can be explained as follows;

a. Outer skin (outer bark).

    This section is dry and as a protector.

b. In the skin (bast).

    This part is soft and wet, to transport food from the leaves to part of the plant.

c. Cambium.

    Being in the skin. This section makes skin cells and cells of wood.

d. Gobal wood (sapwood).

    Usually whitish. This section transports water and nutrients from the soil to the
    leaves.

e. Wood Terrace (heartwood)

     This section is darker than sapwood. Wood is wood patio previous
     sapwood. Conversion into wood patio occurs slowly.
     Compared sapwood, wood patio generally more resistant to attack
     insects, wood powder, mushrooms, and so on. Compared sapwood, wood
     porch.
     This is taken and used as a 'timber' for the purposes of building, mebellair, and
     so forth.

f. Liver (pith).

   Small circles that are part of the middle of the dowel.

g. The radius of the terrace (rays)

    This section is part of the connecting parts of the tree to save
    and transition groceries

Wood density.

Wood density is closely related to the specific gravity of wood and wood strength. The lighter the wood the less the density, the less power anyway. Vice versa.

a. Specific Gravity.

     Is the ratio of the weight and volume of timber in a dry state by air
     water content of about 15%.

b. Wood strength.

     In general it can be said, heavy wood, also called strong.
     Strength, hardness and other technical properties of the wood is directly
     proportional to the weight its kind.
     However there are other factors that affect the strength of wood,
     ie the composition of the wood.

The nature and type of Wood.

By type of timber is divided into two, namely:

a. Wood Leaf Needle (Conifer).

    Are included in the category of coniferous wood is;
    Wood Agatis (resin, rosin pilau), jessamine wood (wood princess, wooden
    china, wood moisture, jamuju), pine (hujam, pine, markus, pine, pine Sumatran)

b. Broadleaf wood.

    Which include broad-leaved wood, among others; balsa wood, wood tumbling,     sandalwood, bungur, and so on.

Wood properties.

According to the nature of wood is divided into four;

a. Class Wood Specialties.
b. Sustainable Wood class.
c. Simply Sustainable Wood class.
d. Rather Sustainable Wood Class and Not Sustainable.

Wood Class Outstanding;

Which includes grade durable wood types, among others;

1. Balsa wood
2. Teak
3. Ebony Wood
4. sandalwood
5. Salimuli wood, and so on ..

Class Sustainable Wood;

Which includes grade durable wood species, among others;

1. Wood Rengas
2. Cempaka wood
3. Wood Gofasa
4. Sono Wood Flower
5. Ironwood
6. Lagerstroemia wood, etc.

Simply Sustainable Wood class;

Which includes classes quite durable wood species, among others;

1. Mahogany wood
2. Wood Sindur
3. Sungkai wood
4. Red Meranti wood, etc.

Rather Sustainable Wood Class and Not Sustainable;

Class that includes the type of wood rather durable and non-durable, among others;

1. Wood Jelutung
2. Wood Medang
3. Wood Surian
4. Durian wood, etc.

Types of Wood Engraving Good For Work.

This type of wood is good for carving out the work is the type of wood has a fine fiber and dense, straight grain, not much eye wood, and flowers waning slightly. Here are the common types of wood used to carve the work or furniture.

a. Teak:

Teak wood is widely used for home furnishings and engrave work, because it is crunchy (easily done) and solid fiber is not easy in timber pest attack. If it is old teak brown, if it has been long exposed to sunlight and air into brown color.

b. Mahogany:

It also has a type of wood that is dense and sparse fibers have knots, mahogany is also good to work household furniture and wood-carving. The nature of this wood is in its processing, its flowers being shrinkage, texture and power breakdown was.

c. Sono Wood rivet:

Timber rivets are also good for wood-carving, solid wood fiber. Nature of the wood is rather hard and tough enough. Color blackish brown wood.

d. Ebony wood:

Actually, the wood is also great to work carve, but due to the nature of the wood that is easy to crack and develop its shrinkage is high enough it needs more handling extra. The wood is black gray color interspersed younger.

e. Balsa wood:

Color grayish white wood, the process is easy because it is not too hard, wavy or straight wood fibers combined with a very smooth texture, it is suitable for wood carving.

f. Wood Rengas:

Another term ingas wood, jingah, umpah. The wood is brown yellowish red blood with dark stripes or yellow. The nature of this medium to hard wood so it is rather difficult in the process, and development of a small but weakness waning power breakdown of the wood is too high, while the integrated straight fiber texture is somewhat coarse.

g. Wood Jelutung:

This wood is white or yellowish, tractable, the shrinkage of small flowers, straight grain and texture is rather smooth and evenly.

h. Wood Surian:

 Wood color red meat easy to do, the weakness of this wood is waning fireworks burst and large, the fiber is straight, wavy texture is rather smooth.

i. Sono Wood Flower:

The wood color yellow / brown, easy to work, power and a little flower power waning small cracks texture is smooth to slightly rough and straight fiber, blended, or wavy.nSo, thank you for reading this article.
