Borneo - the name that will evoke the wild imagination and mystery hidden deep in the jungle . The park consists of spectacular caves , gorges , and peaks that are the result of rain water seeping scraping of blood limestone over millions of years in the process . Spans its ground itself is amazing and is an example of one of the incredible natural strength.
No matter you are a novice caver or a professional adventurer , in the Gunung Mulu caves suitable for all levels of experience . Famous as the " cave exhibition " , Clearwater , Deer , Lang , and Wind Caves are the caves which are easily accessible ( only climb with a distance of 3 km in the existing lines ) from the center of the National Park and can be visited with the help of guides or park officials .
Clearwater Cave has the longest underground ( with 51 km - making it a cave with underground lines longest in Southeast Asia ) , Lang Cave stone structure consisting of stunning stalactites and stalagmites , while Deer Cave has the largest area and home to a large number of colonies bat . You can also camp or stay in the shelter forest with 10-30 ringgit ( Rp. 29 thousand - 85 thousand Rupiah ) per night , per person.
Transportation : MASWings fly from Miri to Mulu twice a day ( 30 minutes , ranging from 100 ringgit or Rp.300 thousand for a one time trip) and a flight from Kota Kinabalu ( 1 hour 50 minutes , the price ranging from 150 ringgit or Rp. 420 thousand ) . Using a combination of boat and bus is more expensive than flying because of the high costs needed to hire a boat .
Guides : A guide is needed to enter each cave . Parks provide official guide for 10 ringgit ( Rp. 29 thousand ) per person . Hire a guide to explore the deeper forest must pay ranging from 200 to 500 ringgit ( Rp. 560 thousand - Rp 1.4 million ) - specifically for Sarawak Chamber is only reserved for professionals . Guide price equal to one to five people , so it's important to form a group .
