Station Semarang Warehouse / Tambaksari (1864)
The oldest stations in Indonesia are Station Semarang Warehouse / Tambaksari which was built in 1864, precisely on June 16, 1864. The station was inaugurated by the Governor General of the Dutch East Indies at that time that Baron van de Beele Sloet.In the operation of these stations, the Dutch government entrusted to one of the railway company in the Dutch East Indies Spoorweg Nederlandsch Indische Maatschappij (NIS).
