Tricky, Not Useful, Potentially Considered Arrogant.
Has a particularly high potential acquaintance in a company, it seems, profitable job seeker.But, should it be mentioned when a job interview?
"Have an acquaintance here?" Questions that need answers that must be considered
carefully. If you say no, the interviewer may assume a job seeker does not have a strong networking, but, if say you had to be conveyed in the right way, one little job seeker members could lose out. One possible risk is tripped.
"It is a fact that is disgusting, but it actually happened," said Kelley Rexroad, career coach, as reported by The Ladders.
According to him, personnel recruitment is usually derived from the personnel division could be threatened by an acquaintance who mentioned positions by job seekers when interviews.
"It is undeniable that a career can be lifted if the job seeker has acquaintances in person. In other words, it is likely the interviewer will be overtaken. He could have sabotaged the job seeker application file," he said.
"Never thought that name-dropping can not necessarily make you welcome," added Rexroad.
Therefore, Rexroad assume that name-dropping technique or an acquaintance named the wrong strategy in an interview. So, not a guarantee has a channel manager or even director could pave step towards a dream job.
Rexroad warned job seekers to never mention the name of contact person important if not necessary.
However, there are times when a name or agency can be a valuable asset in an interview, for example, a former junior partner in a law firm well-known to apply to another firm.
"Tell me you never worked there. Course it will be followed by questions from the interviewer. Did you know owner of the firm, Mr. A? Just answer honestly that you know him. Able to work with lawyers like Mr.. A is certainly a plus," said Rxroad.
Which makes the difference is how to deliver the job seeker. Mention the name of an important person would have in the context of the work that the job seeker has a plus in front of the interviewer.
They do not care if the job seeker members like to hang out with the director once if it does not bring significant benefits for the company.
Instead of name -dropping vital contacts , better achievements mentioned in the past as well as with job seekers who have worked .
" Mention last income or company that you are applying the product more useful than brag that you knew everybody in the company , " said Chad Oakley , president and COO Charles Aris , an employment consulting firm in the United States .
