You Formula1 fans ?
If you have not watched the movie Rush is now in theaters, maybe you have not really a fan .
The movie was able to remind us how " dry " the race today .
Film Rush is the first Hollywood movie Formula1 in this modern era .
The director was not kidding , that Ron Howard , Apollo 13 tenants and The Da Vinci Code .
Star was not kidding , there is Chris Hemsworth ( Thor ) and Olivia Wilde .
The short story is as follows ,
The story of rivalry and struggle ( and suffering as well as the thrill ) F1 era of the 1970s .
Especially between the McLaren star playboy James Hunt ( Hemsworth ) and Niki Lauda Ferrari hero ( Daniel Bruhl ) .
For me , that might have been very satisfied with everything about F1 , the film still provides new insight .
However , the movie era of the 1970s , the era before or when I was born . The main story takes place in 1976 , a year before I was born .
Frankly, I was a fan who likes halted in the 1990s , with the idols of riders who started his career in the 1980s .
Era Ayrton Senna , Alain Prost , Nigel Mansell and others. So for me , the 1970s was really old .
But , that's the era in which F1 began skyrocketing . Where technology , investment sponsor , and the stars began to truly global . His cars were the most exotic to the most alien forms in the history of F1 , since that time teams and manufacturers began to explore dunai aerodynamics .
Rush movie shows that the life of the people more exotic anymore .
Racer stereotype as a playboy? James Hunt then arguably mastermind.
All his life , the British superstar pamakai smokers and drug it's called ( or claim to ) have slept with 5,000 women . Hunt died in 1993 at age 45 of a heart attack .
Niki Lauda , who is still in F1 as a consultant for Mercedes is a figure against Hunt . Highly analytical , calculative and very serious in living his life .
Lauda whose face was damaged by fire during an accident in Germany in 1976 ( there are scenes in Rush ) , is probably the prototype of today's riders .
Daniel Bruhl , Lauda able to portray so beautifully . I once interviewed Lauda and Lauda speech is not much ado , to the point sometimes " pierce " .
Looking at the film , and given the Senna documentary that circulated a few years ago , made me think of the 2013 Formula1 season , is not only this season , but today's modern era of F1 in general .
Having followed F1 intensive , practically since 1997 when he first came directly to the circuit in Canada , F1 now it feels " far away" with F1 which made me fall in love first . It's cold. It was great .
Press conference , how to talk to the drivers , how to organize a team of personnel interacting cold. It is not friendly , but too corporate , too regular and too neat .
Almost no nonsense talk is worth quoting , almost no real sensation , even Kimi Raikkonen is perhaps most similar to James Hunt in F1 ( except Raikkonen is much more subdued ) is no longer a lot of acting .
Then follow the F1 circuit directly , began preparations Wednesday through the end of Sunday's race , so everything feels like a procession .
Watching the film Rush , as well as remembering the early days came to F1 in 16 years ago , it makes F1 now as " synthetic " .
Just look at the new racers coming . Now there's hardly exciting stories that accompany their journey .
Almost all rookie now come with one way ; Bring money or a sponsor .
Lauda first entered F1 with pay , but it is part of his character that calculates all the opportunities and possibilities . And he became very character coloring F1 .
Now ? Who can remember the name of the racers in the back row or those newcomers ? Especially if they get in and out of F1 due to running out of sponsorship funds .
If F1 continues as it is now , especially with the economic situation that makes it difficult team to grow, it is not impossible the existence of the most prestigious racing series will be threatened . Series below , which used to be very popular as F3 and F3000 , now it is a mess .
There is also a column a renowned publisher who said that F1 overalls , threats F1 broader than imagined .
Culture like in today's cars is not like it used to . The column was called awareness of the environmental impact as well as operate the expensive cars plus the easy public transport or alternatively make a "car culture" increasingly eroded.
" The best would be " F1 now also does not help . Of course no one wants to see the drivers injured , let alone killed .
But first F1 legend as the riders really like gladiators .
Each incoming circuit , and it was the last chance of their lives .
In one scene of Rush , someone asked Niki Lauda affix the signature date on which he gave , arguing : " Who knew this was your last day alive "
Now viewers may no longer be " admired " the F1 risk , the evidence is easily mocked fans ( booing ) Sebastian Vettel whenever he celebrates victory on the podium .
Films such as Rush tetntu expected to draw more attention to F1 . Who knows could also attract new fans to the race .
But I think it just might be difficult . Setealh watch Rush then see F1yang might actually take place now will only make the new fans feel disappointed .
To this day I still intense follow developments in F1 . Until this year , I still took time to stop by to watch or cover circuits F1 directly .
First , I fell in love with F1 because of the characters ( the professor Alain Prost , Ayrton Senna philosopher and others) .
Now when it comes straight into F1 , the characters that no longer exist .
Fortunately, there are movie Rush , there is documentary Senna , which is able to remind me why so mad at F1 .
Maybe for longtime fans like me, the more need there 20 movies of the year F1 , rather than 20 races in a year .
